Tuscan Olive Oil

Tuscany is known for its premium olive oil. But it’s important to note the importance of olive oil to the people who live here. While there are large producers of olive oil, most families have their own production held in highest regard. Olive harvest and the first drops of oil are sacred, especially on a good year. Tuscan Extra Virgin Olive Oil is forward bitterness is sometimes an acquired taste, but as it coats your mouth it melts into a smooth, deliciousness that makes your cheeks pucker. When it hits the throat, a unique heat kickstarts a tastebud explosion from the back of your throat to tongue.

 

Buon Olio

Good Oil. It is not surprising that first press extra virgin olive oil yielding the best olive oil has it’s own name - Buon Olio. Every year in October and November, you will see the terms ‘Buon Olio’ and ‘Olio Nuovo’ on restaurant and shop signs announcing its arrival. It is also common to hear exclamations of “BUON OLIO!” after tasting the green liquid gold. Smooth and peppery, this oil is not to be used for cooking. It is uses as a condiment, drizzled over crostini, pasta, vegetables and salads.

Our Olive Oils
